Many who are allergic to eggs are actually allergic to the soy, which is chicken food’s main ingredient.
Chickens cannot digest soy, so that protein gets deposited into their eggs and meat. When a soy-sensitive person gets exposed to the soy protein, while eating the eggs or meat, that person assumes the allergy is to the egg or chicken meat.
Hidden allergies can be dangerously sneaky. If you think you are allergic to eggs, let’s try it and learn an amazing fact: you might not be allergic to what you think.
In the last two years, I have three confirmed (not allergic to chicken allergies) cases of this exact issues here in Sheridan, Wyoming. In one situation, the family was able to adjust what they fed their own flock. In the other two cases, they get their eggs from my flock.
